Monday Musings

This is Gandalf T. Grey the Terrorist. My tile has mud on it and my house smells like dog. Look at him, thinking he owns the house and that he must be really something if I cover the couch with sheets before he lays on it.

This is Lover. He is going to be 3 months old next week. You can't see it, but there's a fox on his shirt and it says "My mom is a fox". Hilarious.

Perhaps I should share a conversation I had at school today.
Student: Mrs. E, I need to talk to you.
Me (as I was reading with a small group): Is it important enough to stop this whole group while you tell it to me?
Student (whispering): Yes.
Me (impatiently): What?
Student(whispering): I made up names for all my dinosaurs.

I was proud of myself today. You see, I successfully coerced my OB back in the summer into inducing me by a single deadly look. Ask Brandon, it's true. Anyway, I have worked many years on this deadly look. Today, I stopped one of my usually unstoppable second graders dead in his tracks by one look. It. Was. Amazing. What is the highest level in the Hierarchy of Needs? Isn't it self-actualization? Yes, I think so. I'm pretty sure I'm there now.

The end.
