A smattering of pictures.

What a week we've had! I'll start going backwards. Why? Because that's how the pictures uploaded.

First and foremost: Ryker said his first word on command. The word: WOOF. Now every time he sees any animal, he says, "woof". Hilarious.

Yesterday we took Ryker to the Willow Park Zoo in Logan after we had some lunch at Angie's Diner (dee-lish). He enjoyed the animals and "woofed" at them the entire time.

A Brandon eagle. I mean, a bald eagle.

This pelican (at least, that's what I think it was, I'm no ornithologist or anything) did not want to be friends. Yes, I did just google "one who studies birds". The word is ornithologist.

This week Brittany came and stayed with us. Let me also add that we really enjoyed having Brittany stay. Talk about someone who is so sweet, so kind, and never complains. We had a really fun week with lots of laughs and good times. We went to Lagoon and rode on almost every ride.

We also went four-wheeling up to Bountiful Peak and down to Farmington Flats. We took the Skyline Drive trail, because Farmington Canyon is still closed because of the mudslides. It was such a beautiful ride. I think we ended up going about 40 miles total. There's a ravine a little ways up that's around a really steep curve. At the bottom of the ravine is the wreckage of many cars in what were obviously some fatal crashes over the years. A somewhat creepy reminder to be careful.

July 20th was Lover's FIRST birthday. I can't believe how fast this first year has gone. I relived the day of his birth all day. Best day of my life, hands down. These are a few of the things we did for his birthday. Can you believe how much a baby grows in the first year. I did some math, and if I grew as much as Ryker did this first year, I would weigh 502 pounds and be 8 feet 9 inches tall. Not to mention I would probably have a head the size of a beach ball.

We went to Surf and Swim after his party in the park.

And right here should be the picture of Brittany and Ryker that I just accidentally deleted. Sorry Britt. I'll put it on facebook.

Pig out.

Can you tell I made the cake? Very professional. At least it tasted delicious. It was a funfetti cake.
