Catching up

This is a picture I snapped as Ryker was trying to wrestle the camera away from me.

Best buddies. It might seem like we have a lot of toys, so I'll tell you, that yes, we have more toys than a child could ever want, and every single one of them was given to us. I've never bought a single toy for Ryker. Okay, I did buy him a squishy squid at Dollar Tree, but that is all.


We took the couch, the coffee table, and totes and blocked off an entire area of the house for the babies to play in and not be able to escape.

Some mornings I'm really tired, so I lay on the couch and doze while Ryker is playing, which is fine, because he can't escape. I was in and out of sleep the other morning when I realized I hadn't heard him for a few minutes. I opened my eyes and there he was, sound asleep on the floor. It made me laugh and feel bad at the same time.

This is the face Ryker makes when he thinks he's scaring you. It is so funny. He grunts when he does it and his scrunches up his fingers like he's a witch.


Here's what's been going on here lately:

-I'm enjoying my summer at home with Ryker. It's nice to be in an air conditioned house.

-We closed on our house last week. Woo hoo!! And boy, did we lose a lot of money on it!!!!

-Ryker has 4 teeth coming in at once. He has been difficult, to say the least.

-I realized that crazy begets crazy.

- I also realized that there are very, very bad people in this world.

- I ran 4 miles tonight. Just sayin'.

- I hate it when Lucky Charms do not come with enough marshmallows.
