We headed out on our 1,430 mile journey last Sunday.
This was our itinerary that my dad taped to the side of the motorhome.
This is what Brandon and Ryker did most of the time. It's a good way to travel. Don't tell anyone my child wasn't in a safety restraint.
When we got there, we went to Newport Beach just as the sun was going down.
This is Ryker and his cousins, Jonah and Logan, in the wagon on Newport Pier.
We had 3 day park hopper passes to Disneyland, but after 2 days we decided we needed to split up our Disneyland-ing and go to the beach. This is Doheny Beach. It was completely torn up from the tsunami. It had about a 10 foot drop off, and then an actual river running parallel to the beach. It was really weird. We ended up moving down the beach about a mile or so.
Ryker really didn't care for the feel of sand. Even though he's smiling in the pictures, he didn't like the sand very much.
This is Brandon heading out to the 55 degree water.
This is his sand fortress with a moat around it. My nephew Jonah came and destroyed it. Jonah then went back into the water, only to be knocked over by the waves. It was karma for 3-year-olds.
Ryker was okay until the water came over his feet. The picture below was the result.
Stay tuned for Part 2 of Spring Break.
